About

John Tuxman is in his element when he's performing and interacting with an 'up for it crowd! His passion for playing live isn't limited to just one genre of music.

It all began with Curfew Sound system, setting the dancefloor alight with a unique blend of bouncy and banging Hard House, Acid NRG, Trance and Techno. He became a firm fixture and party favourite with the Sheffield scene. Then being lucky enough to be one of the resident DJ’s with the legendary club night 'Headcharge’ in the Arches and playing alongside some of his heroes from the hard dance and techno scene. Continuing with putting on and playing at regular free parties, club nights and festivals across the UK and making dancefloors bounce to his cheeky acid style.

Eager to play out more, Noggins was born in May 2004. Collaborating with Fil Bray, this monthly Hard House and Acid NRG event started in a single room in the 'Basement' of a city centre club, growing to overtake larger venues around Sheffield with two rooms of musical mayhem! Over the years, Noggins teamed up with Men@Work, Camouflage Disco and Danger Noise sound systems, bringing the window rattling solid sounds of party and club scene favourites. Playing the very best of 303 Acid music, this year with a 20 year reunion!

More recently, Tuxman has been playing at The Beat Goes On each year since 2022. A wonderful event with such a great crew and crowd, he is looking forward to supporting this micro-festival in 2025.
